I once read a book called "The Gospel According to Larry". One of the many, many amazingly cool and inspiring and odd things full of thinkability in that book was that Larry made it a personal rule to live with only 75 possesions at all times. Which meant if he wanted a new CD, he'd have to give away an old one. Of course, his laptop helped solve the problem, but still-- clothes, keys, wallets whatever, it had to all add up to 75. I s'pose he did this to fight consumerism and materialism, but what made me think of it was thinking about summer camp. Part of the reason I find camp life easy and fun is the standard of living is lower. You show up with just your suitcase, and that's it. That's what you have. Just those possesions you brought with you, All the unecessary clutter, the craving for excessive stuff, it's gone. Wake up, brush teeth, get dresssed and GO. go live life. go laugh, go hug, go get hit by flying objects, go get a cup of coffee. It doesnt matter if your eyeliner is on right, if your shirt's tight, if you are slightly unmatched.

Could you do it? Could you live with only 75 things? Even 100? I know I couldn't. Not right now, at least. Perhaps, the less stuff you have, the more emotional experiences you can have. The more you can be...alive.

If that's true, I'm close to being as dead as Elvis Presley.
(who, according to 75% of tabloids across the country, might still be alive 'n kickin. hmmm.)

wow, i completley forgot i had an LJ. Props to Pushie and Erin for reminding me! My brain capacity has seriously dwindled.

Question Du Jour: Why, when your account inboc is thisclose to being full, does Hotmail send you a 3 KB message explaining that "your MSN Hotmail account is approaching critical storage level"? Well, thankyouverymuch, I completley missed the bright red bar across my inbox warning me! and MAYBE my storage wouldn't be critical if you would stop sending me messages telling me it is. I can't help it if i'm popular (or recieve emails from people named Sabina telling me to enlarge a certain male organ I don't have) (No, Jared, it's NOT an appendix). I think I should respond to these "Critical Storage Level" messages. I bet there's some poor fool whose job is to oversee such things. perhaps i could brighten their day. or get kicked off their server.

EDIT: 10 points for Pushie and Erin each for responding! YAAAAY!

Well, it's about time I got a livejournal. Xanga was just boring me. I'll probably start that up too, once school begins, but right now it's on hiatus. Everyone from school reads my xanga, which can be both a good and bad thing.

So why'd I start a livejournal?

Honestly, it's because i'm bored. It's not like i have a lack of stuff to do so much as
that none of it is half as much fun as ranting about random stuff that interests me.(which i'll get to in a bit) Now don't get all pretentious because if you have a livejournal or a xanga or a blog, it's because you feel the same way, you like having a free, albeit virtual, soapbox from which to scream (or rather, click away furiously like a woodpecker on crack) about anything at all. And if you don't, well, you're reading this, which means you LIKE reading other people's random rants. Or you're a stalker, but that's an option I am going to ignore.

Now, using the information from the paragraph above, can you guess why my alias is "bubblemouth"? 20 points to anyone who can. 10 points just for reading and responding (believe me, i have no illusions that i'm that popular)

If you've figured it out, you'd also have realized that I like playing with words, using their definitions to form connections. Rearranging letters into names for say, characters in a story i wrote, is something i find amusing, because then the names have symbolism. Ria = Air, Hart = Rath, Rafe = Fear.

Devil and Lived. Evil and Live. Dog and God. One we rule over, shun, raise, the other we revere, covet, praise. kcaB ot tnorF. Ironic, isn't it?
